- Kinetic Energy is the energy that moving objects have.
- They can be found in both living things and non-living things.
- The faster an object moves, the more kinetic energy it has.
The amount of Kinetic Energy an object has depends on:
- The mass of the moving object;
- The speed of the moving object.
An object at rest has no kinetic energy. For example, a stationary ball or a person standing still on the ground has no kinetic energy.
Kinetic Energy is also called as movement energy.
One gram of rubbish, when completely changed into energy, can keep a 1000-watt light bulb glowing for 2850 years.
